The Honey Buckets surged to a 40-0 lead
over the Crackhouse Warriors, with the Thursday night play from Jay Cutler and K
Matt Prater. The Buckets never looked back getting another two TDs from
Anquan Boldin.
In a legal version of a strong armed robbery, the
Pizza Bandits took the Keelhaulers to the cleaners and claimed the
overall league points scoring lead from a now punch drunk John Jacobsen.
The Keelhaulers are now 4-6 and trail every team in the South for a
potential Wild Card berth. The Bandits got double digit scoring
from five players in their 75-35 win.
The Fish Heads realized their first win in
four weeks and starved of elimination for at least another week.
Donovan McNabb contributed 21 points to the cause in a 49-24 dismissing
of the Pocket Pro's. With three weeks remaining Jeff Jensen's team
trails the final playoff position by two games.
Greg Ayers pulled off a trade with Jerol Jensen's
Crackhouse just before the trading deadline. The principles of the
deal landed the Game Cocks RB Matt Forte for WR Eddie Royal.
Matt Forte bolster the anemic Cocks runningbacks with a touchdown
receptions before 10:30 am Sunday morning. The 48-14 win over the
Wife Beaters maintained the Cocks outright league lead they have held
since week five. Despite pacing the MFL for six weeks, the Pizza
Bandits and Slutty Bitches are hot on the Cocks' heals trailing by half
a game.
Three games remain until the playoff
tournament begins and the North faces a uphill battle to keep the South
from fielding four teams (including the two Wild Card berths) for the
Mudbone Cup. The last remaining inter-division games are this
coming week when the Pizza Bandits face the Honey Buckets and the
Crackhouse Warriors take on the Fish Heads. For all other teams
and games its Civil War, North vs. South.
